She wakes up in her bed and put’s her hands on her head. She knows daddy’s drunk and he’s at it again. The child’s tears drop as her mom gets tossed, the neighbors call the cops but dad says you keep your lips locked. So she yells through the door for them to go away as she rests a bag of ice on the bruise upon her waist. Shook with pain, she maimed, twisted ankle both wrists sprained as she yelps like she’s in pain trying to clean off her blood stains. Then her little girl tip toed inside of the room and said mommy, why’s your cheeks all blue?
